Mid-sized manufacturer of electromechanical and electronic products, used in trucks and other large vehicles, needs an Electrical Engineer to work on new product development. Will work with sales and marketing to determine feasibility of new product designs, and to evaluate competitors’ designs. Will provide application support to the market team managers.
This position is in Northern Iowa, near Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Should have experience with security systems, entertainment systems, locks, door and seat systems. Familiarity with keyless design, RF and passive entry systems, use of Bluetooth, and wifi applications is a plus.
Will coordinate design engineering, process engineering into product design. Develops specifications and approves the interface of electronic technology with mechanical hardware. Interfaces with mechanical and software engineers on system designs, and provides engineering support to quality and manufacturing engineering.
Bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering required, MSEE preferred. Should have three or more years’ experience with electromechanical and electronic products, including circuit design experience. Should have designed the electronics portion of electromechanical systems. Familiarity with J1939 systems protocol, CAN standards, and with RF systems used, for example, in security systems, is a plus. Familiarity with Bluetooth and wifi applications a plus.
